#SMACS0723
How many atoms are there in the observable Universe?

Now that's a question! You'll find a (simplified) estimate in my python notebook:
github.com/hrvdole/numb...
based on the number of galaxies detected in the JWST SMACS0723 deep field.

PLCKG287+32.9 | NIRCam #JWST (Process underway)

I'll be reducing those blue spots that run from the f090w filter to the f210m so that the image looks as clean as SMACS0723.

Once I've finished making all the adjustments, I'll upload the image in maximum quality so you can take a detailed look.

#The deepest infrared view of the universe ever was just unveiled by #POTUS Joe Biden from the James Webb #Space Telescope (#JWST), showing an unprecedented new image of a region of space called #SMACS0723 – deep into the distant Universe." #science...

Oh! I see the arcs now ! I thought they were little dwarfs. But yeah. That makes sense When they’re not on my feet (the only time I look at them) the perspective is off. What’s cool is that Biden showed that on my birthday . So I have a big printout of it my entry way now :) it’s smacs0723:)

spikes are well within our own Milky Way. Their diffraction pattern is characteristic of Webb's 18 hexagonal mirror segments operating together as a single 6.5 meter diameter primary mirror. The thousands of galaxies flooding the field of view are members of the distant galaxy cluster SMACS0723-73,
