this looks good, SMB DX trying to use all the original assets on the GBC’s resolution always seemed too cramped and required too much additional scrolling to be enjoyable

this looks good, SMB DX trying to use all the original assets on the GBC’s resolution always seemed too cramped and required too much additional scrolling to be enjoyable
Also, hey, they took the credit roll music from SMB Dx and NES'd it up, and I adore that.

Am I the only mf here that really likes SMB DX game boy color and wishes nintendo would add its improvements/additions to other re-releases of the OG smb?
I mean imo the only real issue DX has is the screen crunch and its fucking miserable nintendo didnt do anything about that after the GBC,,,,

The limited color palette of early GBC games forced them to get creative.
I loved cartridge systems for that reason. It forced creativity early on, and later they had leaps and bounds in improvements. SMB DX is absolutely gorgeous for a GBC title.

I LOVE that you used the SMB DX poses that Toad use when you save them in that version and keeping the Bloopers colors to work in the overworld!
i have been preparing a folder of my mario works for release sometime, since i dont think ill be uploading all of them separately (some are smaller works). ill probably release it somewhere, even here maybe? have this for now though, old but good
