#SNPA
We're canning this next week. A beer into which we inserted as much Simcoe as was financially viable atop a malt bill which resembles SNPA. Deep golden, bitter and piney as an entire forest of pine trees.

I think they probably based on porcelain, or more likely ceramic doll

bsky.app/profile/snpa...
Maybe it is, but more of ceramic than porcelain.

Since the Ocarina is made of ceramic, also because the title: Ocarina of Time is also a pun of ceramic ocarina.

time (時; toki) sounds like ceramic (陶器; tōki).

This may be a good time to remind fans of the Miyamoto lore that “Ocarina of Time” is a Japanese pun of “ceramic ocarina”: ninpatentswatch.com/2026/04/30/m...

I've certainly seen a paper that had more than that, maybe 5-6 including England and NZ.

My experience with a friend's homegrown UK Cascade was that it gave a definite elderflower note to a SNPA-ish APA, although the grapefruit was still in the background.

Still as true as ever.

Yeah, like even if you don’t want to “learn” anything, you still have the problem of accuracy that you have to deal with, which you won’t get from just generate the reference instead of actually doing research/reading art/history/animal biology, etc. book
bsky.app/profile/snpa...
This is why you don’t use generated AI images as your reference… even a quick 1-click edit button screwed up this bad, how could a completely generated by AI reference can be trust for your concept art? And that even not count other concern like stealing artist’s work and impact of datacenters
this field biologist does a great job highlighting the insidiousness of AI editing

these one-click AI edit buttons are incredibly appealing to many photographers, amateurs and professionals alike, and are framed as innocuous

this is worth sharing and educating people about

For me, SNPA is about the resins. The one in the straight glass has a pine bite up front which carries right through. The one in the stemmed glass gets its business done quicker, with less impact. Stem = can; straight = bottle, I reckon...

If you were irked when SNPA won that award as an ESB…

I think it’s also worth noting that the administration has (in the Rhode Island litigation) said that it intends to pay out 65% of the November SNPA benefits using the contingency fund. But there are big questions about how fast the administration would do so.

OKAY, I have learned this is from an ability to import tweets, which backdate to the tweet's creation.

I still hate that but less shitty than I thought.

If you've come here to tell me the info, please don't, already been told! Sharing for others like me who don't know

bsky.app/profile/snpa...
So it not a brand thing, anyone can do that with 3rd party app/extension to import your tweet from over there. Some artists already used it I think.

I've always felt a strong connection to this competition - it was the first one I ever entered and I've had at least one image shortlisted every year since 2016. I shall continue to support it and encourage others to enter.

Not really how it work… when Reb blocked someone she quoted, even if you didn’t block them before, it still going to show “blocked”.
