"Tomorrow's Enterprise" was an excellent finale for #SNW's very strong fourth season. This show has given Celia Rose Gooding some great material, but this was the best Uhura episode in #StarTrek's 60 year history. Fresh, innovative sci-fi all in service of character, landing big emotional resonance.

10. it is already bad enough that Paramount has forced SNW to envision a future where everyone is heterosexual and cis. But now we see SNW’s writers doing dangerously conservative takes on race and then trying to convince us that they’re funny. And this is a writer’s room with POC in it 😲

I think a 20 or even 15 episode season would have fixed most of discovery's and SNW's problems, and would have made lower decks impossible to cancel after 5 seasons

SNW’s approach trans people is a great metaphor for the show overall. When it used transness as a metaphor, it created one of the most powerful episodes in the franchise. And when they actually had a trans actress portraying a trans character, they leaned hard into old transmisogynist tropes.

Just talking with @aranock.bsky.social and we realized that Strange New Worlds desperately needs a Maquis-style organization that questions and challenges Starfleet that our characters have to confront morally. THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CAPTAIN ANGELS ROLE BUT WHATEVER ITS FINE!
