batman beyond's episode "splicers" would be suuuuch a fun concept in sol9. its already halfway there w the arcadion. imagine splicing w/ beast souls (to a much less taxing degree than the arcadion) cropping up as a fashion / counterculture trend resulting in animalistic traits.

it sucks because i actually like it when xiv goes sci-fi but i hate the sort of aesthetic they chose for sol9. everything looks like a pc from 2013. it's awful lmao. there are so many scifi aesthetics to choose from (the asura from gw2's whole deal is one of the best, imho) & they went with THIS?

i think there's a lot of bias coming from people, who just hate alexandria/sol9 on the principle of it taking away tural's screen time. but at some point it goes into weird territories when people compare the everkeep folk just living their life to garlean civilians treating eorzeans like pest.

it's okay to be mad at the writers for rushing through tural and reducing it to a taco nation, while also enjoying everkeep/sol9 stories and aesthetic.

Seeing Dante post the clip about it but I am reminded that Calyx almost blew up all of Sol9 by zapping Delena with lightning. Yes lets supercharge the cat who is lightning aspect, nothing bad will happen. Primalena shows up briefly to offset the strike.

arcadion relies on "people are using regulators and feral souls to have people fight to the literal death for a very sizeable audience that is still desensitized enough to the idea of permanent death to enjoy this" just in the core concept, sol9 has to pretty much be as-is to do it at all
