One of the reason, I keep on saying Congress has got to come in and rough the President up (defund the EOP, refuse to invite him to the SOTU, impeach the Viziers) is to break this insane notion that the President reflects the Will of DA People.

I used to tell my students that the SOTU was like watching the Oscars for political scientists (what are they wearing? who are they talking to?), but now it's just ....bleagh. So maybe the Oscars comparison still holds! :)
