Line6 Shuriken Variax SR250
The Line6 Shuriken Variax SR250 is an electric guitar with an offset body that looks like it had a big bite taken out of the end and a long upper horn. It's got a single humbucker, a hardtail bridge, and an upside-down 6-in-line headstock. It also has Line6's Variax electronics, which means you can make the guitar sound like anything from a Strat to a banjo. There's a volume, a tone, a model selector knob, a 5-way blade switch, and a tuning selector knob. You read that right. Part of the Variax electronics package is a special hexaphonic pickup in the bridge. That means that the output from every string is its own signal. If you shift the pitch of, say, the low E string down a whole step, it sounds like you're playing in drop D tuning, even though the guitar itself is still tuned in standard. The tuning knob does all that pitch shifting for you, so you can go from playing in open E to open G to standard (among others) by just turning a knob. You can even set up custom tunings. Joni Mitchell had a similar setup in her Parker Fly guitars so she could tour with one guitar and still play in all her different tunings.

Break in the wind this morning allowed for a nice ride, which did wonders for my brain space. Up Baineskloof, one of my favourite passes, over Michell's Pass to Ceres then Gydo pass and Witzenberg Valley Road for a coffee at SIP Cafe. Then back via Nuwekloof pass and Bothmans Kloof pass #motosky

I've been playing bass guitar for about 10+ years now. I went from a cheapo Dean bass, an Ibanez SR250 bass, then to my American Fender P-bass. Been happy with my P-bass, but I want to go deeper.

I feel insane for considering to buy a $2,500+ Rickenbacker bass, either a 4003 or a 4003S.
