Prithee, for future iterations to include console players that hath no keyboard, perhaps a variation of playstyle could suffice?
A modest proposal of controller inputs near in likeness to fighting game combos mayhaps be a consideration.

I must issue a formal apology to Pac Man. I was much too harsh on you. While most of your specials could use some work, your normals are actually great, and the fruits are fun. I never realized that you were actually a well designed character, until I played as you in an actual good game: SSF2.

This video made my day 2% less shitty. I would use to do this same exact thing with this game, and I couldn't stop smiling while watching this. I love childhood man...sometimes...

I absolutely loved Xband on SNES and was crushed when it became unusable in my area due to phone switching from 7 to 10 digits and Xband not updating how other players were dialed. Played a ton of SSF2 and Mario Kart on it.

1994 still stands for me as the greatest year of gaming. I didn't get to play everything, and I had to rent some, but damn!

MK2 (home systems)
SSF2 (home systems)
Demon's Crest
Illusion of Gaia
CV Bloodlines
NBA Jam (home systems)
and a bunch more.

On a side note, I also prefer Original 2 over Super, Alpha 2 over Alpha 3, and SF3 2nd Impact over 3rd Strike. I dislike the changes made to art, sound, and UI design. For example, I think SSF2 character portraits are ugly and announcer voice is worse, Guile shouldn't have a high nasally voice.

It's so weird that the "smash/nintendo fan hater of JRPGs" became a prominent stereotype. Before cloud got added i'm pretty sure a FF fighter like him or black mage(? idk if he was or I'm being mandela'd by SSF2) was highly requested, and i remember crono from chrono trigger being one as well

this reminds me of the old Dreamcast bootleg discs that would have Marvel 2, CVS2, 3rd Strike, SSF2 Turbo, and Puzzle Fighter on them because none of those were anywhere near big enough to take up a CD (at least once you compressed MVC2's audio)
