The idea that women are given special rights based on sex is a remarkably absurd framing and not how discrimination protections actually work in practice. It can only stem from a thoroughly right-wing understanding of the world that believes marginalized people are granted extra entitlements.
The entire edifice of "sex-based rights" is an absurd moral and legal fiction wearing feminism's stolen clothes--and it seems this group of people promoting "Christian Rights" are trying a similar trick. The UK has fertilised itself for this perfidy with its own bullshit.

Democracy is at risk.
The UK right's current political project is to co-opt the language of antidiscrimination to make bigotry legally unimpeachable.

Out today: We show that Westlothiana lizziae or "Lizzie," described 35 years ago as the world's oldest reptile - is not a stem amniote at all, but a stem tetrapod.

In partnership with @freedom.press, WIRED will make all of its FOIA-based reporting free to access for anyone. Public records should be public, and I hope to see more outlets follow suit:

A single infusion of a stem cell-based treatment may have cured 10 out of 12 people with the most severe form of type 1 diabetes. One year later, these 10 patients no longer need insulin. The other two patients need much lower doses.
People With Severe Diabetes Are Cured in Small Trial of New Drug
Most in a small group of patients receiving a stem cell-based infusion no longer needed insulin, but the drug may not suit those with more manageable type 1 diabetes.

I keep seeing people say that people in STEM need to take humanities classes, and with all due respect, I think the problem is different.

I think the issue is with people thinking that they’re the Anointed One based on academic achievement.
