there is a whole swath of "dirtbag leftists" whose "leftism" was just contrarianism coupled with a superiority complex. many of them have podcasts.
It's because the vibe in the hip downtown scene in NYC legitimately did shift toward reactionaries and it's bad for the country that all of our politics media people are here now
