I'm a 68yo woman & I take the SWChief back east, Chicago is where I change trains.
I've walked to the pier, slept at a hostel, & took the El to the Chi Inst of Art. No issues. I stay safe, yes, but I'm not afraid. I love Chicago.

Just barely! WB SWchief should connect to NB Starlight, but Amtrak won't (without some shenanigans) sell the reverse, unfortunately. (you can do it, you just have to buy two separate tickets)
