Swifts gave Vixens a good game ❤️🙌, Austin's supershots really kept them in it. Always love the intensity from Lambden, and maybe the injuries helped Swifts settle on a better starting 7? They do look strong with Proud at C and Fraser at WA. #SWIvVIX #SSN2026 #Netball

Full time: VIX 66-59

Vixens have maintained their unbeaten start to the year, but they had to do it the hard way after Swifts really challenged them. In the end, Vixens were too experienced in the pressure moments. POTM was the ever-reliable Kate Moloney.

1/2 time: SWI 34-32

How about this for a game. Vixens led by 2 at 1/4 time and got out to a lead of 5 early in the 2nd Q, but roared on by the crowd, Swifts have dominated since. Grace Whyte is having a great game at GA. And welcome back, Katrina Rore!

Teams are in for the opening game of Round 5. Vixens are unbeaten, while Swifts have been hard hit by injury. Helen Housby is out, and it's welcome back to Katrina Rore as a temporary replacement

Swifts will be wearing their yellow Heritage Round dress.

Fun fact: Swifts' defeat in the Preliminary Final now makes it NINE times in SSN that a team has started a season with 4 or more straight wins, and not gone on to win the title. Incredible.

Ahhhhh #SWIvVIX Seems like swifts have forgotten how to close out a tight game 🙈 Garbin held it together for Vixens today. Don't think either of these teams would/will challenge fever... We shall see 👀 #SSN2025

I've just been replaying and rewatching the final moments of this game again and again and again since it finished lol

Also, love the flying pony plait in this pic!

#Netball #SSN2025 #SWIvVIX
Kate Eddy with her long brown pony plait flying through the air. She's holding a netball and has her right thumb strapped. She's wearing her navy Melbourne Vixen's dress and a black armband. Her lips are pursed. There's also a graphic with the final score. Vixens 66. Swifts 65.

Full time: VIX 66-65

What an amazing comeback! Vixens won the last quarter 25-14. 25 goals equals Vixens' best ever 4th Q. In the last Q, Sophie Garbin shot 17/17 while Kiera Austin landed 3 super shots. POTM Moloney was huge. Swifts are just devastated.

3/4 time: SWI 51-41

It's looking very much like Swifts are off to the grand final. They dominated the third quarter and started to look like the Swifts team of earlier in the season. Too many errors from Vixens.

Swifts winning this third quarter 9-5 and they lead the game 40-34 as Vixens call a time-out. Weston and Eddy swap positions.

1/2 time: SWI 31-29

Swifts take the lead into halftime after winning the second quarter 19-14. The two centres, Hadley and Moloney doing a heap of work, especially Moloney. Vixens' Tara Watson came on during that Q for her debut!

1/4 time: VIX 15-12

A tough finals game. Vixens with the lead but Swifts well in it. Up against Nweke, Rudi Ellis has 4 gains, while Moloney is doing a stack of work. Unsurprisingly, Swifts look better with Hadley back.

Vixens lead 13-10. They're doing a great job at putting pressure on the Swifts. Grace Nweke has been penalised 3 times. Some of the feeds into her have not been great. They need to get closer to circle edge. Grace Whyte on now.
