PS: When I asked SafeToNet about some of the failings Paul had identified, it insisted (to the point of reserving its legal position) that the failings were not with its software but with HMD's implementation of it.

It's not good enough, IMO, to make all these claims for your company, its mission, its software and for the first implementation of it in phone and then blame the phone company when it turns out to be a disaster.

This is far from the most troubling thing in the accounts. For the third year in a row, the auditors have said they couldn’t do their work because SafeToNet’s German subsidiaries refused to cooperate with them. And so, the UK company's directors elected, again, to file unaudited accounts.
