Salmonflies were finished in my section of Snake last WK. They're continuing upstream movement, their season prob has 10-14 days left. Best was a 6# cutbow on one, last WK. Now, back to small mayflies, caddis & some streamer action. Have fun with 'em in MT!

First fish on a new (to me) creek was a whiskey. Salmonflies weren’t actively hatching, but they were around, and fish were after dries. Guess I’ll be going back soon Posted by surfsupflies

Between Oregon and Idaho, there are always steelhead in some system. But with the salmonflies coming off, it’s been all about the trout these days.
