Ah, i figured the wetsuit arm and legs as whale skin, and the vest as shark or ray belly, picked out in inkstains from ground crustaceans bleach in thermal vents. With threads and bands made from the saltcured tendrils of giant kelp.

But maybe Im projecting a little. 😋
