Mumbai, Feb 17 (SocialNews.XYZ) Director-producer Sooraj Barjatya is set to roll out his OTT production ‘Sangamarmar’. Amid Sangamarmar release, he defends romantic men waiting 25 years, laughing off critics. Fans question if audiences still want Prem over macho hits like 'Animal'. Many Indian movie fans say it's now the time of tough "alpha male" heroes on screen.

Sooraj said, "My inspiration is my mother. A part of my mother is present in every heroine I have played. She has also in some way inspired my new heroine, Amrita from Sangamarmar. She is the source and my closest person. And then of course you see so many female characters who are very grounded. The essence of Indianness, grace and power is what defines a female character for me.
