DRAW THIS IN YOUR STYLE CHALLENGE

Since their designs are updated, I wanna see if anyone else wants to try their hand at 'em

A batch of ass-raccy (Becca) and butts-chee (Almy) trying out some more of @metalpandora.bsky.social's Dressmaker creations

I asked my friend @gulop1th3cuz.bsky.social to pick out the latter two dresses
Description of dress by Terra (MetalPandora): "dressmaker screenshot: a pink patterned sleeveless dress with lacy trim" I chose this one—indeed, mon amis, it is very Aerith-esque when you look long enough. Almy is wearing said dress, and is looking at the viewer with a gentle smile, one hand stretching out downwards and the other relaxing in a flat position. Description of dress by Terra (MetalPandora): "dressmaker screenshot: a green tiered dress with alternating 'patchwork' style patterns, a corset style bodice over a light colored floral blouse, with long draping sleeves" This one was picked by Gulo—sleeves were the hardest part to get right. The "patchwork" patterns have also been simplified as I thought a detailed texture would get distorted too easily. Almy is wearing this dress, resting one hand on her lap while her cheek rests on the other. Her eyes are resting closed and she seems like she's pleased. Rough sketch of Almy showing off the catalogue of dresses to Becca. Almy has a somewhat pleading (yet mostly calm) expression, while Becca folds her arms and looks angry/embarrassed. Becca: "NO!" Almy: "But what if you ended up liking—" Becca: "STILL no!" Almy: "Just a try? Please?" Becca: "Please doesn't work on me, Almy!" Description of dress by Terra (MetalPandora): "dressmaker screenshot: a red silk split dress with black and red lace sleeves, gold front clasps, and a cutout panel above the bust" This is the other one that Gulo suggested—it's altered somewhat from the original to stop at Becca's collar bone rather than her bust (she and Almy are middle school-aged just to be clear). Becca is (very begrudgingly) wearing this dress and holding a small hand fan. She has a pouting/embarrassed expression where her eyes are darting away from the viewer, her body is leaning forward slightly, her other hand is clenched into a fist, and an "angry scribble" has shown up over her head.

I really like some of the dresses @metalpandora.bsky.social made in Dressmaker, so I asked her if I could put my OCs in 'em, given my current drive to put 'em in different outfits

For a start, here's Almy in one of the apron dresses Terra designed
Original description for dress from MetalPandora (Terra): "dressmaker screenshot: an aquamarine colored apron dress with white trim and lace. the apron has a leafy vine motif with pink flowers" Almy is wearing said dress. She seems to really like it.

The difference between Becca and Almy
(Remake of an older art)
(VERSION 1: ROUGH SKETCH) Becca (frustrated): "I'm reaaal sick of that guy for treatin' us like some prissy princesses…" Almy (lovestruck): "What a gentleman…" (VERSION 1: ROUGH SKETCH) Becca (confused): "What?" Almy (defensively): "WHAT!?" (VERSION 2: ROUGH LINEART) Becca (frustrated): "I'm reaaal sick of that guy for treatin' us like some prissy princesses…" Almy (lovestruck): "What a gentleman…" (VERSION 2: ROUGH LINEART) Becca (confused): "What?" Almy (defensively): "WHAT!?"

More fun playing dress-up with the twerps, this time it's with winter clothing

(Yes, Carmelita is rather overprotective)
(Almy is shivering while wearing a coat, wooly pants, snow boots and a beret) (Becca is stuck in an A-pose thanks to wearing an overly thick and puffy jacket, thick snow pants, two scarves, some weird sock-like thing with a zipper covering her tail, and a snow hat that forces her ears to be tucked back) Almy: "I… HATE… winter…" Becca: "Yeah! Everyone does! Least YOU'RE not the one my mom chose to turn into a freakin' BALLOON ANIMAL!"

father, I demand you cease with your incessant "uppies" or else I will become angry and bitey-like
An amused Sly carries Becca from the underarms (akin to the Rafiki pose), while saying, "Almost wasn't sure I could still do this!" Conversely, Becca is NOT amused.

Somehow, my fingers managed to make this

Here's how you can tell that Becca is still just a kid
"Why didn't Pops just get a rocket launcher and blow up each of the Klaww Gang's bases? I mean… was he stupid?" — Becca, thinking to herself ("Pops" refers to Sly, in case you were wondering)

Another day, another ass raccy doodle
Becca walking/sulking with an angry expression, thinking to herself, "I'm in a bad mood, and it HAS to be somebody else's fault!"

A self-reflection doodle, as I realize how much Becca and I share a propensity for self-sabotage (I doubt we'd actually get along that well, though)

Also shout-out to @pyrrhickong.bsky.social for saying "ass raccy" on stream; remember, that's her nickname
A. How Becca is meant to emote, per my own notes for her and her body language. High-strung, very energetic, and the kind of kid who would have a TERRIBLE poker face. The respective drawing has her crossing her arms and giving an annoyed, pouty look. B. The pose/expression that I draw her in too often. One arm relaxed, the other resting on her hip, and a bored/tired expression. Becca is a hot-blooded middle-schooler, not… whatever.

It's a very sensitive topic for her
"ooh I like different colored sly" — A comment from last year replying to some concepts of Becca I shared back then Becca's reaction to seeing this on her phone is one of high-pressure fury, based off the "angry Tom reading a book" meme from Tom and Jerry

I've accepted that their designs are inherently clumsy, but I wanna see how many people will actually like these two goofball Sly Cooper fan-spawn enough to give 'em a shot

I'll supply extra notes/details if asked

Took me a couple days, but I think I've gotten these two to a level where they don't annoy me as much

I do wanna try out a DTIYS soon but I don't know if I've conveyed their personalities well enough yet; I'll put some notes in the alt text
Becca and Almy: "Good Enough for Now" Designs (circa Sept. 2026) * Two best buds who work together as "Tailchasers" despite their opposite personalities Becca: * 13-year old (slightly younger), quatrième student * Hot-blooded and quite a bit hyper, though kind of like a puppy off its leash trying hard to assert itself * Not completely impulsive, but short-tempered and lacks the patience for details; intuition comes to her much more easily than plans or organization * Very informal and can come off as rude, but admires personal conviction in others and is by no means a bully (not on purpose, at least) * Unlucky at times and can have a moment or two of kicking and screaming, but will always get back on her feet and get back to it afterwards * Highly tomboyish and dislikes "prissy" things like dressing up, but proud of her budding figure * Feels trapped in Sly's shadow and wants to face and overcome challenges on her own merits * Knows martial arts (Savate) Almy: * 13-year old (slightly older), quatrième student * Calm and cheerful when around people she knows well, but can act very timid and skittish in certain taxing situations, though she gives it her best when it counts * Not a genius sleuth and can be distracted by occasional bouts of confusion, but has very good observational skills * Tries to be polite to others, but has some spice and jumpiness to her, and can be pretty cheeky or coy when around the right people * Reasonably patient, and proud of being good with younger kids (to the point she can even be territorial about it), but still has her limits * A girly-girl who is often a sentimental romantic but dislikes more extravagant hobbies; right now her head is going through a boy-crazy phase * She inherited Murray's strong sense of devotion to his loved ones, and is always happy to help out a friend * Knows ballet and rhythm gymnastics Almy design notes Becca design notes

The realization that I may find working with other peoples' OCs easier than working with my own is definitely a cause for frustration, so here's me taking it out on my cringe ass Sly Cooper fan-spawn
Me: "I appreciate that you guys like Becca and Almy! I think about 'em all the time, but hearing your words inspires me to keep at getting 'em off the ground one day!" Also me: "WHY DO YOU TWO KEEP SUCKING?!? All these years and I STILL can't think of a good premise for you! All these years and your designs are still ugly as hell! All my attempts to study the original games, write gameplay ideas and who knows what else and you're *STILL* NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! You know why I never let you guys join a "draw my OC in your style" challenge? It's because you don't DESERVE to be drawn by someone else, you derivative fan-OC crotch-spawn TWERPS! I hate both of you so so much that rassa frassa frassa—" I wonder if this is how God feels about HIS creations
