Il genere Scadoxus raccoglie bulbose perenni dalle spettacolari infiorescenze a sfera, caratterizzate da fiori leggeri e dai colori accesi che ricordano piccoli fuochi d’artificio. Originarie dell’Africa Tropicale, queste piante portano un tocco di eleganza e vivacità sia negli spazi esterni dal clima mite, sia negli ambienti domestici quando coltivate in vaso.
Facili da coltivare, richiedono però attenzione a esposizione e temperatura, poiché non amano il freddo.
