I was surprised they had this!

I am Scaroth, last of the Jagaroth!

staring at... him.... it...? what the HELL is he?

Last-minute trip to the costume store for a rubber facemask. Best he can do, but he doesn't want to miss the party at 7th Heaven. #7thHelloween

I am Scaroth. Last of the Jagaroth.

(If he doesn't know it's me under this mask, I'm gonna have some fun with him.)
Who the FUCK are you????!!!!
They're cheap ingredients.

Not everyone can afford caviar on their pizza.

//For those curious, Scaroth appeared in the Classic Doctor Who episode "City of Death" featuring Tom Baker. He was played by Julian Glover, who has literally shown up in every fandom imaginable. He comes in at the 1:45 mark of this clip.

Obviously the intention of this scene was to suggest Scaroth's DNA is a founding ingredient for all life on Earth, but I don't think we can rule out the very real possibility that one of his earlier incarnations fucked a chicken.

OTD 1979: #DoctorWho The Creature From the Pit
David Fisher’s intelligent, witty liberal free-trade fable
A ruler’s greed and foreigner-blaming makes everyone poor and miserable…
Like so many ’70s dystopias, now a bit too topical, yet huge fun
Huge? How huge?
Don’t mention the prong.
Or the bandits.

Besides, that Scaroth definitely was a right Count. Determined to prevent the emergence of human life on ancient earth for his own life form's preservation.

WHO'S WHO OF DOCTOR WHO: Scaroth the Jagaroth. Last of the One-Eyed Pesto Spaghetti-Os. Divided into twelve pieces like a chicken nugget value meal and will do anything, even Renaissance art forgery, to be whole again. Into beautiful women, probably. Terrible pilot. Ascot mascot. #DoctorWho #TV

Doctor Who for me too, I’m not sure which is earliest but the one that haunted me more than the Daleks or Cybermen was Scaroth. I must have been 8.

Scaroth tearing his own face off in Doctor Who’s very own take pn ‘Holiday on the Buses’, ‘City of Death’. I was so young I wouldn’t know what story that was from until over a decade later.
In honor of scary media month: what is the first piece of media you remember truly frightening you as a child?

Met Julian Glover in my Scaroth costume at DragonCon a while back. He very kindly posed with me for photos and signed a couple of items.

Scaroth was kung fu fighting. That cat was fast as lightning. In fact, it was a little bit frightening.
