New Training clip 🥵

This is not a casual sniff. This is training. This is addiction by design. By the end of the video you will understand, in your body and in your mind, that my scent is now your oxygen. And you will need it again .

Every HeroRAT starts with the basics. Trainers teach them to indicate a target scent like TNT, marking the correct behavior with a click and reward. Through repetition and positive reinforcement, they build the skills needed for advanced training. #APOPO #HeroRATs

Dachshunds belong to the AKC Hound Group. They were bred to follow scent and dig after badgers, so digging is job training, not bad behaviour. A sandpit or a blanket burrow with treats hidden inside gives the habit a home.

One of the tricky parts of nosework is when you don't know how many hides there are, or even if there are any.

Tallie ran some searches yesterday that we only knew were 0+ hides, and she got both the blank search (nothing) and the one with 4 hides. 💪

Scent Training for Dogs - Whole Dog Journal
Scent work for dogs is a fun activity that builds up the primary sense that dogs already use as their main way of interacting with the world.

it occurs to me that I have not tried scent training with a Boswell, maybe he would be more interested than Vivi or the Chlo 🤔

“All I did was pull my foreskin back, what do you mean the smell melted a whole city block, you’re being ridiculous!

It’s scent training! we all know you nanos need that!

next thing you’ll say is this pre droplet I’m about to drip is gonna wipe away the whole city

Dude? You still there?”
Underrated trope : unaware domming

Rocking someone’s whole world so good and you don’t even realise it, this is especially easy to pull of in macro where every little action that you do can have intense effects on the little guy and you’re just “?”

But if you pull this off in same size too then-

Alongside the cute art on the nursery wall is anti-potty training propaganda, and photos of cute furs with well-swollen, stained diaperbutts in various states of use. The scent of another fur's sog is irresistible to them, and if that isn't available... they chose their pail.

Haha, sorry she didn’t enjoy the hug festival. We dogs don’t necessarily like hugs either. But I met a small child at scent training last night and after I got a few sniffs I liked her a lot. I gave her kisses and she sat next to me and petted me. It was great.

I have considered scent training my pooch for TCA. He has a couple hundred million more olfactory receptors than I do!

Scent training is good fun for dogs. And for me I’d only seen one before and was hoping to find one in good condition.

I love the little whimper, the quiet groan, of a boy who knows how to tease himself and doesn't leap onto your cock. He takes his time enjoying all the senses are offered and for some the scent alone gets them hard. In this way scent training helps a boy learn to slow down and enjoy himself more.

*She was a bit busy today, wanting to do her daily training, just that he would do it in the public park instead of her dojo.

Actually I am a bit...

*And thus, just as she spoke, that nice scent of Makima went right into her noise, making her have a light blush before changing her opinion.

... to recognize the scent(s) of interest and communicate that to their handler, who also needs training in how the dog works and communicates. It's also not possible for one dog to learn more than a few specific scents and usefully communicate what they are. Genetics aren't the limitation here.

This is so important for me to remember. My Sir has been training me on his scent for over a year, and while it makes me just as horny as I know it makes him, I should remember that his scent is a reward in and of itself, even as it teases the greater reward to come.

Remind me sometime to talk about scent training. He won't know where or why but he'll smell Daddy all day and it will keep him horny and by the time he gets home he will be well beyond desperation for more. The fun is in picking where to hide the scent and IF there will also be a sticky load there.

We had Gus at scent work training and he didn’t want to work, too hot, fine. I was resting him in the shade and gonna just socialise and leave. But someone brought us one to use and he perked right up, a notable multi degree shift in his fur temp under the cost, and he was keen to work.

Dogs learning to sniff out diseases from urine samples
The University of Waikato is conducting a pilot study to determine whether dogs can detect the parasitic disease schistosomiasis, commonly known as snail fever, by sniffing urine samples. The Scent Detection Research group at the university is training dogs to distinguish between urine from infected individuals and those without the condition, a method that could potentially streamline screening processes in regions where the disease is prevalent. Associate Professor Tim Edward, director of the unit, explained that this initiative is a preliminary step to assess the feasibility of scent-based diagnosis. No prior research has established whether schistosomiasis can be identified through olfactory means in human urine. If successful, this technique could offer a rapid screening tool for communities in developing countries where the disease is likely to affect populations. Training Methodology The dogs involved in the project are not specialised working breeds but rather pet dogs sourced from the local community. Researchers screen these animals to identify those that perform well in laboratory environments and appear to engage positively with the task. The training process begins with an automated apparatus designed to teach the dogs to indicate a positive sample. The device, described as a rotating carousel, allows the dog to access one sample at a time through a panel on the front.
