I think Max Scherzer should retire, so that he and fellow former Detroit Tigers' star pitcher Justin Verlander can be voted in on their first ballot together.

My team isn't in the postseason this year, so that was it, and it was such fun despite a disappointing end, standings wise. The Jays org did an incredible job all year—at all the 10 games I went to anyways. Yesterday's send off to Springer and Scherzer was an amazing experience. Here's to 2027 🤞🏻⚾🐦🇨🇦

With Verlander retiring and probably Scherzer too I was looking at the all-time strikeouts list and did a bit of math and is it weird that of the top 30 leaders the pitcher with the highest strikeouts per inning rate is... Chris Sale
