Today is National Library Workers Day! A day when everyone is meant to appreciate the folks like me who work in libraries but aren't librarians.

Love getting lectured by a parent on the phone b/c I locked a Chromebook a kid had out for a month+.
But hey, that's unacceptable to do because then kids can't do work! This kid destroyed 3 screens this year and is a reason I never have loaners...

This week I put up our Big Gay Book Display (unofficial name) in the library. 475 queer books from the fiction section and ~100 graphic novels. I ran out of book easels!

We have 2 sets of built in shelves that appear identical. But I just went to move one shelf from the set on Wall 1 to the set on Wall 2 and Wall 1's shelves are maybe 1 quarter inch too long for Wall 2. 🤬🙃
