The huge waves were sweeping the Jupiter scoutship off course, but catdets are accustomed to the perils of exploration and push foward.

It's Halloween, so... I've published my first Star Trek piece. 😅

VFX art director William Cheng looks back at the creation of Strange New Worlds ships, including the Orion Scoutship and USS Kelcie Mae.
It's a Patreon exclusive for a few days.

The Galactum did not see it necessary to send a full regiment to the unclaimed hive world, only ordering a single kobold scoutship

The planet’s populace were notably minuscule, scout units require less resources, and the scampering kobold species served a niche as insectivores on their homeplanet

I WANT MY SCOUTSHIP!!!

Thinking about other Scale Factor starship classes and getting the idea for a scoutship with a single mixed-scale quarters used by the 4 being crew, ranging from 120 feet on down to a handful of inches...

Now this is my level of deep cut:
Notice how the lamps in the Orion nightclub "Slit Throat" in #StarTrekLowerDecks' "Something Borrowed, Something Green" are shaped like the Orion scoutship engines in #StarTrekTOS "Journey to Babel" and #StarTrekSNW's "Those Old Scientists". :-)

Romulan scoutship, sifting through these debris eventually started to piece together the Taurhai's story as they moved cautiously into the center of the old Unity. Emergency beacons, log buoys and databases sifted through and eventually a few fleeing refugees were encountered.

Don't cave to pressure from the man! Send your report out through the vagabond spacelines, transmitting from corsair to scoutship, across known space! SET IT FREE!

This is the first episode for the 4 foot Enterprise D model that will become the primary one for new footage for the rest of the show.

It isn't as good as the 6 foot, but gets a good debut in an exciting face off.

Series B, Episode 13 - Star One

ORAC: A scoutship, perhaps.
VILA: A scoutship, perhaps! Like that one down on the surface now, perhaps!
JENNA: Zen, put the battle computers online.
ZEN: Confirmed, battle computers are online.

#RPGaDAY2023 Day 17 - Funniest Game Played.
In a Traveller-based campaign back in the 90s the stand out fun moment was the ship's captain sending someone to fetch his snub auto from his cabin and saying "You can't miss it, it's L-shaped and dangerous!"

Big folks have enormous, insulated quarters, but essentially would find the ship rather small, a heavy cruiser being more akin to a scoutship with good accommodations, with no more than enough room for say, a dozen big folks or so.

You could tell most Star Trek stories if it was a crew of 10 flying around in a scoutship, but giving the Enterprise a crew of 430 and never seeing 400 of them was accidental genius. It let fans put themselves, their avatars, whatever they wanted in there.

Developed by TME Industries' legacy aerospace fighter design bureaus, the /Seeker/ started as a sleek one-deck scoutship capable of operating for as long and as far as a crew could skim fuel and forage for life support consumables. Cheap and low risk, it spearheaded exploration of the frontier.

Another of my older spaceships done using Photoshop & Sketch-up, for Traveller. The Iskatell-2 is a 100ton, Droyne scoutship with some some post-Ancients high-tech systems.
