JUNK (Scribner 2027)

maximalism will overtake the scourge of minimalism that has plagued literature for too long

This is also only my first demand, Scribner. I will also be requiring a billboard in Times Square. I didn't read the marketing and publicity section in the author portal.

I don't care about the Paris Review anymore. Trying to get the ghost of Charles Scribner to recognize me is my new side quest

BIG NEWS, FRIENDS!

It is a quirk of the writing life that while you are finishing the current book, you are pitching the next one.

I am delighted that I will be working once again with Kathy Belden at Scribner, and returning to Civil War studies (and Texas!) for this exciting new project.

Nothing says Midwest Excellence quite like the pay phone in Scribner. Still operational in 2026.

I had to stop since I was wearing the new @randballsstu.bsky.social shirt.

I'm probably fine. I'm not selling anything with Taco Bell on it besides a literary magazine, merch that can be found on our website, and a book forthcoming from Scribner.

One last Scribner animation to showcase. Here we see Daffy making 40s topical references and reacting to them in the most energetic way possible. It's a good choice to use Scribner here, he nails Daffy's emotions very well.
