You shouldn’t have to work twice as hard to get around Seattle without a car.

@mayorofseattle.bsky.social’s Seattle Transit Measure proposal buys the bus service we need to make our city a better place for working Seattle-ites.

Proud to co-sign this op-ed

Seattle is showing the way! At least 4 orgs taking down their advertising. Seattle-ites are doing the work, sharing info, call scripts, etc.
Keep up the pressure!

Sinclair's local advertisers are dropping like flies and we're gearing up to drop a STACK of petitions on KOMO's doorstep from thousands of Washingtonians who want an end to MAGA censorship of our freedoms.

Help us make that number even larger by signing the petition today:

Seattle-ites have called advertisers on the local Sinclair station and have gotten several to stop advertising.

So there's the "Seattle freeze," which is that Seattle-ites are notoriously bad at having friends.

But there's also Seattle stand-offs, which is where everyone in a traffic situation sits there, trying to be terribly polite, and no one moves.

Just follow the right of way rules it's why they exist.

It’s always a little (read: a lot) disappointing that Mt Baker (Kulshan) isn’t as conducive to lenticular clouds as #MtRainier (#Tahoma)… #Seattle-ites blessed with yet another beauty of a show this evening!

Taking the train into the city for our next show, Seattle-ites, see you there!
For those in WA, hopefully we’ll see you at Sakura Con tomorrow! We’re in the exhibitor section, in the middle row (1100 section) by the back!

SEATTLE-ites: I could never live in Tacoma. The people there are so violent.

ME: No they're not.

Hey Seattle-ites. Let's say a 'change in occupation' is forcing Matt and me to move, which requires us finding a replacement tenant for our apartment :D If you're wanting to move to a 2 bedroom 900sqft apartment in Kirkland, WA by July 1st maybe check out our listing?

As a Gen-X, black coffee purist I often roll my eyes at my fellow Seattle-ites when they use an entire paragraph to order their hot morning beverage.

But it's November, and I caved, sitting here enjoying my tall oat-milk Peppermint mocha no foam, thank you very much.

Spectacular sunshiney day for Seattle-ites to "speak out, speak up...get in good trouble" at the Hands Off! rally. Thank you @jayapal.house.gov, all the speakers and the thousands of fellow protesters!

Born and raised in Bellingham - I have NEVER heard anyone praise Taco Time it's a running joke how terrible it is are Seattle-ites deluded about this?

when i lived in seattle in 2010-ish the larouche-ites would be around with tables that had big pictures of obama with a hitler mustache with "OBAMA = HITLER" just in case you didn't quite get it.

Seattle-ites: could I carry a bound bullwhip on as part of a costume to see the D20 show at the Climate Pledge Arena? I proooobably won't, but it's worth asking.

Yes, I own a 10 foot Western swivel handle leather bullwhip, and she can sing. Her name is Lilith. She is lovely.

For my fellow Seattle-ites

It’s Election Day today!

I’m going with Katie Wilson for mayor! @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social

I think while we have the opportunity to peacefully usher in progressive and passionate fighters we should!

It's funny because the native Seattle-ites seem to actually love the long, rainy winters and make fun of the transplants who don't like them.

I guess wherever you grow up, that weather becomes normal for you.

I think a lot of Seattle-ites see it as a place to bring an out of town friend more than a place to go spend a random afternoon so there’s potential to change that framing. Seems like Pike Place is working on this and I think Seattle Center could as well and do it better.
