Today, I will mostly be cycling to the majority of Palmerston forts in Plymouth.
Most people who have lived in Plymouth all their lives wouldn't know where most of the old forts are, let alone know them by name.
It'll be a new #SecretPlymouth route.

Just finished cycling the 1st of my #SecretPlymouth routes.
I already wrote the route guide for it, but wanted to get video of the route.
Still to do the bingo card for the route (well, it makes things more interesting!) and that requires some further research and some more thinking.

Newest #SecretPlymouth video is out, though I've yet to complete the full route guide (and the bingo card for the route!).
I suspect most Plymothians wouldn't know every location in the video.

After cycling my Northern Forts #SecretPlymouth route, the hard work starts: I have to compile the footage into a route video.
Related, #Plymouth people, if I asked you where Agaton Fort, Knowles Fort, or Bowden Battery was, would you even know?

As promised, the 1st of my #SecretPlymouth cycle route guides, which includes a video of the route. Do note that I modified the route, so the video is not fully accurate.

While I am starting with #SecretPlymouth rides, I will be doing route guides for other towns and cities, too.
If you want to get involved, give me a shout?
What's the idea behind a #SecretCity route?
Simple: it's an excuse to go cycle places you most likely never knew existed.

Secret Plymouth – Plumtown
Secret Plymouth routes are part of the Secret Cities series of cycle route guides. This one sets off from Coypool Park & Ride, to go explore some roads and lanes in Plympton that you probably never even knew existed. Why is this route called Plumtown? Plympton is considered to have taken it's name from the Old English adjective plymen, which meant "growing with plum trees". According to the The Cambridge Dictionary of English Place-names, Plympton meant either "Plum Town" or "Plum-tree […]
