So I read it and discovered two things about #SectorGeneral:
1. It's got, just, so many of my favorite tropes. SO MANY. Medical mysteries! Weird alien biology! Optimistic views of The Future! I love it!

But the badness itself is, as @slacktivistfred.bsky.social puts it, INSTRUCTIVE, both in technical writing examination and in the more social aspect--#SectorGeneral is a really great case study of previous generations of sci-fi and the blind spots that come from being dominated by white guys
