One thing I've noticed about Mayor Mamdani, he participates in *every* part of NYC's culture. I've seen him at celebrations for Hindus, several different Jewish sects, other groups as well, he represents ALL of NYC, and he proves it. Bravo, Mayor!!

However, most current and historic utopian movements/sects/cults that become violent are not utilitarian in their moral reasoning at all. Some violent groups are utilitarian, but it's rare compared to other ethical frameworks.

Seeing that Halloween is a Celtic pagan festival from Ireland I would imagine that no Judaeo Christian sects or Muslim sects would formally approve of it other than a nod to the harvest festival tradition.

Christianity is an extremely theologically diverse religion and many of its sects are exclusivist.

He’s weak & consistently cedes standing to the bigoted sects of the party the way Perez did, & while the Vice Chairs implement outreach initiatives his support of Black & Jewish voters is consistently lacking beyond after-the-fact support. These pastors talk bad all-the-time about other people and other Christian sects and other religions and their neighbors and their family and ministers who have slightly different views. They're just really afraid someone undercut their own authority and hierarchy.
