I think more #historians and #LegalScholars should have definitively stood up to #SCOTUS because the #FourteenthAmendment does not leave any room for the #Judiciary to interpret it. If the 14th is “selfexecuting” wouldnt a 2/3 vote be needed to let him be certified? congress doesnt need to vote to disqualify - he needs 2/3 of congress to un-disqualify him. No? And if he’s not president then Vance isnt even in the line of succession. I think that’s why states are holding out.
