How different would our world be if we simply did a global “find-replace” from “human” to “sentient” in all constitutions, laws, treaties, conventions and declarations of rights?

From “humanity” to “#sentientity.”

What would need tweaking?

Such a pleasure to talk to you both, Raffael. Your work is shaping a radically better future for both sentientity and humanity.

Can you imagine a United Nations that cared about animals? #Sentientity as well as humanity? #SentientRights as well as #HumanRights?

Could our in-group be all sentient beings?

From humanity to #sentientity?

The biggest threat to #sentientity is humanity.

Instead, we could choose to be its greatest hope.

Maybe one day soon Richard's "World Happiness Report" will address the happiness of all sentient beings. Such a shift may seem radical - but we human sentients and all #sentientity desperately need radical change.
In the latest episode of “Lives Well Lived”, the podcast I co-host with Kasia de Lazari-Radek, we talk to economist and well-being advocate Richard Layard about what truly makes a good life. (1/3)

What role would you like to see humanity play re: our wider sentientity (all sentient beings)?

How would it be different from the role we play today?

Can you imagine World Animal Justice? Where crimes against animality (or even sentientity!) are taken seriously just like crimes against humanity?
Sabine Brels, founder of World Animal Justice joins me again on the Sentientism podcast. Find episode 189 on YouTube and podcast - links in comments.

The potential of humanity is mind blowing.

What we’ve achieved, so far, from the perspective of sentientity, is an abomination.

Allowing super-powerful AI to take over could be very bad for sentientity - the ~quintillion sentient beings on our planet.

But would they be worse in charge than us humans?

Maybe we should set a better example? Right now?
