The Celtic fringe is also being nibbled at. Wales is at serious risk of a Reform government. Hoping Plaid Cymru get a minority government with help from progressive parties but it’s still grim reading from recent polls. We vote in May for the Senydd.

What a surprise 🙃
Reform which took direct inspiration from Elon Musk's DOGE in the USA has been unable to fulfil its flagship promise - namely cut costs and reduce council.
In fact, when faced with cold hard reality (and possibly a bit of waste and corruption too) - they're increasing tax.

Plaid are now thankfully well ahead in the polls in Wales and are likely to be forming a minority government in the Senydd - I am not a fan but I'll begrudgingly take a nationalist party over a fascist one I guess.

Like we did in the Senydd elections, I moved to Plaid to block the danger that is Reform as voting Labour would have been a waste. Farage’s massive weakness is he makes it all about himself, without realising that a very large part of the electorate hate him and will vote for whoever can block him

Reform are good at talking the talk and making noise. However the track record of right wing parties in power is not as impressive. Look at UKIP in the Senydd. Splits. Factions. Defections. Already happened to the national party.

3. The majority at the Senydd and the first minister of Wales seat
4. Makerfield

It's nearly 2026 & people in Wales still don't know which racist, paid in Rubles, bigot Reform will plant in the Senydd as our First Minister if they win. Nor do we know what their policies are. However there are still plenty of people here stupid enough to bypass these small issues to vote for them
Even quite sensible people in Scotland will vilify Women politicians, whilst telling you Nigel Farage will change things, for the better.

The introduction of PR here in Wales in the Senydd was brought in with the May election. Its a historic change in the voting process but it was largely unreported, it escaped the interest of voters. I support PR but it is partly why are now led by Nationalists so, my advice is be wary and plan ahead
