i hate how discord is the worst of all worlds. everything is serverside so anyone who joins (or is invited) has access to all of the history, but at the same time since it's serverside you can't actually look at it locally and search is ass

Hytale's modding API being serverside really fucking sucks but the client is C# NativeAOT so now I have to write my own tooling for the reflection metadata just to make a good clientside mod

Phoenix LiveView is really powerful, cool to see those concepts ported to Haskell.

Possibly unsurprisingly*, second day serverside analytics, tiny as they are, for the podcast feed already leans Android:

PodcastAddict: 18
AntennaPod: 6
Apple Podcasts: 2
Overcast: 1

Total: 27

(* The audience for my newsletter and Mastodon account lean open source, academic, and idealistic.)

Can we have explorer mode for alliance raids already?? This gear is from Orbonne so I wanna pose there...

I remember there was that mod that changed your island to any instance that was banned for being detectable serverside, but wasn't there one that used an inn room...? is that still a thing??

Today's update has a bigger reworking of SendouQ serverside logic. Main goals are to improve performance, maintainability of the code and fix the rare logic issues where e.g. you might end up in a group with 5 players or two matches at the same time.

Let me know if any problems!

It's really hard to run a PDS migrator that works for all PDSs serverside because of blobs :/. The rate limit is based on the IP at 1k a day per PDS. So if 3 users migrate with 1k blobs each, it would take 3 days to upload for just them. You can add a bypass key/IP, but have to get the PDS onboard
