I arrived too early to get a Maneki Neko, so I kept taking a stroll around the temple grounds. Thankfully I stayed long enough to buy one! I feared it was closed because of Golden week, nah I was just super early is all lol!

The only downside to arriving so early at Gotokuji was I missed out on the cafe with the Maneki-Neko treats being sold by about 2 hours before opening. Setagaya really is such a nice section of Tokyo. #GotokujiTemple #ManekiNeko #BeckoningCat #SetagayaCity #TokyoJapan #Tourist #Travel #Photography

This sweet kitty is named Tama, he peacefully greets visitors :). Everyone who saw him, stopped to pet, and take pictures of him. He sat there getting love. Good for him.

It really is worth it to visit these places early on. It's nice to take pictures :). I'd definitely come here if I was beckoned by a cat. Kind of is why I went any haha!
