I have a WoK game coming up, so I got inspired to get back to painting some of the minis. These are Celestial Guardians. Went back and forth on basing for a while before settling on some custom jade plinths.

As I've said, it's not always going to be #battletech / #alphastrike, and this is one of those times. I don't like how the pictures turned out for a mini I'm REALLY proud of for the criminally defunct #wrathofkings

Back on that non- #battletech / #alphastrike kick with some more #wrathofkings. This is the alternate version of the Big Sister paint scheme known as the Brazen Jade...or as @vincentvangauche.bsky.social once called it: that absolute dump truck.

This is the kind of thing where, for multiple army soldiers, SpeedPaint would excel...but even with the new formula, I find red to be unforgiving of mistakes. So, for this small area, I used base + wash + Two Thin Coats glaze for hi lights

WIP. I just have to say that I love Two Thin Coats color Top Brass. It's such a soft color that looks great by itself, and a simple wash makes it pop. It has niche applications, IMO, but it's great for my current army project.
