I'm not aware of a National Ouzo day so today seems a good a day as any
I love Plomari, drink it with ice and a glass of water on the side
Goes well with sliced baby cucumbers and halloumi cheese but any Greek Cypriot side dishes such as sheftalia are welcome

Rat has always been delicious. Imho field rat taste a little better than city rat...but the sweet and sour sauce makes it difficult to taste the difference.

Locally (ND/MN border), an item called “Sichuan bean curd” and 🍤 fried rice. In France, I was always down for some kébab + frites, and Cypriot sheftalia is pretty darn tasty—but perhaps not as much as lahmacun. NY-style pizza, too, if that counts. “Street” tacos … a good curry … injeera & lentils …

I can get them frozen from our local supermarket. It is sheftalia, which I absolutely love, that I cannot get easily. I have made my own on occasions

a) In Greece
b) In the sun (at least 22°C or better)
Greek salad tastes totally different then, as do moussaka, dolmades, sheftalia, souvlaki, Soutzoukakia, etc.
Found fab food in very reasonably priced restaurants there, but struggled in the UK.
