Lishao Tao was someone that Master Chen trusted would help Ryo when he got to Hong Kong, and it makes me wonder.... how well known is the Chen family name in China and the martial arts community for him to just tell Ryo to go to Lishao Tao.

Ryo spent most of Shenmue looking for Lan Di..... but he crossed a lot of bridges, treaded dangerous ground, made enemies with vicious people, and fought a harbor of thugs to get to the man who killed his father. He would find Lan Di in HK, but he fled.

Master Chen is not only one of Ryo's most important allies in all of Shenmue, but he is a strong reminder of the world Ryo is walking into the more he investigates his father's murder and tracks down Lan Di.
