After 5 months of work, I'm proud to announce the release of a revision fanpatch for the English translation of Happy Saint Sheol!
This patch serves as a partial re-translation of the game, and also fixes minor glitches. 55% of the script has been edited.

HAPPY SAIN† SHEOL English revision fanpatch release This is an unofficial, fan-created revision/partial retranslation patch for the English script of Happy Saint Sheol (HSSH). It uses the current official translation as a base, fixing text errors, incorrect translations, along with lore and characterization inconsistencies. Every file has been cross-checked with the Japanese script, and 55% of the entire English script has been edited in the process. It currently works with HSSH ver. 1.3.4, and includes all changes made by the official Uncut patch. ✦ This patch also: - Restores color codes found in the original script which had been removed in the English script - Restores specific dialogue speed code (CPS) in select lines along with missing line pauses - Updates the script to follow traditional English grammar rules, adding italicized text rather than asterisks, along with the addition of proper em dashes - Fixes minor text display bugs in all languages, such as a location name displaying incorrectly, or a minor Paradise-only line accidentally appearing in both common and Paradise mode ✦ This patch does not and, if updated, will not: - Alter any visual or audio assets from what is present in the current official version of the game - Restore any content from past versions of the game ✦ Common terms that are changed with the patch include: - "Cleanup Department" to "Purification Department" - "Lavien" to "Lavieen" - "Violetta" to "Violeta" (Evelynn's last name) - "Disposal team" has been homogenized, previously alternating between team/squad/group at random - The way Belial and Enoch refer to Arne has been edited to be more consistent and follow the intent of the original text more closely - Haku's speech has been adjusted to showcase her dialogue speed quirk - Other minor term changes ("folks" -> "people" ; "force field" -> "field" ; "department office" -> "department room", etc.) ✦ Installation Instructions 1. Download the .zip file from the Google Drive 2. Extract the files using 7.zip or WinRAR into "HSSH Revision Patch" Folder 3. Drag the files inside the "HSSH Revision Patch" Folder into \steamapps\common\HAPPY SAIN† SHEOL\game 4. (Optional) Delete update1.rpy/update2.rpy (official Sekai Project Uncut Patch) from the folder if the files are present 5.
