Clusters of Japanese beautyberry (Murasaki Shikibu) now grow in front of my house.Named after Murasaki Shikibu, the 11th-century author of classic literature The Tale of Genji, "Murasaki" means purple, reflecting the plant’s purple berries. So lovely, aren’t they?✨
