For the ‘why didn’t people post about Gaza before now’ scolds, I think the 11 point shift from ‘don’t know’ is pretty telling. Not everyone reads Green Left Weekly or was involved in Stupol 20 years ago. They rely on a small pool of media resources who were also shitscared of reporting on the issue.

I feel for the Greens today. A phrase I’m not hearing much in today’s election coverage is “the Trump factor“, and I suspect a lot of what’s happening is ppl just SHITSCARED of what Trump-loving Dutton might do if given the chance, and so are running to the ALP for safety.
