Credible community networks report ICE knocking on doors in St. Paul & demanding “papers.” The U.S. is not a show-your-papers country. YOU Do NOT HAVE TO OPEN THE DOOR, answer questions, or show documents without a judge-signed warrant. Ask to see it through the door. No warrant, no entry.
IF ICE KNOCKS KNOW YOUR RIGHTS YOU DO NOT HAVE TO: • Open the door • Answer questions • Show papers • Let them inside • Sign anything WHAT TO SAY (THROUGH THE DOOR): "I do not consent to entry." "Do you have a warrant signed by a judge?" "Please show it through the door." "I choose to remain silent." "I want a lawyer." IMPORTANT • ICE administrative warrants are NOT enough • Only a judge-signed warrant with your name & address allows entry DO NOT SHOW: Passport • Green card • Birth certificate State ID • Mail • Lease • Anyone else's documents BOTTOM LINE No judge-signed warrant = no entry, no answers, no papers.
