There's a panel in Larry Gonick's Cartoon History of the Universe where the narrator, speculating on the origins of silkmaking, asks what on earth induced someone in ancient China to boil silkworm cocoons, and an ancient Chinese person addresses the reader - "Hey, I was really hungry that day!"

I really like Andor and it is the best spinoff series. But:

The Eevill Plot™️ by the Committee on Eeevill to collapse the silkmaking planet was really ham-handed and put me off. A cartoonish letdown from the moral complexity of S1.

Also: Andor is either a pilot or he’s not. FIGURE IT OUT.
