The Silmet plant in Sillamäe, Estonia, refined uranium ore into yellowcake until the mid-1980s, when it was converted to rare earth products.
Its kilometer-long tailings pond was remediated in 2009, and the port there competes with Russia's Ust-Luga.
Among the insect parasitic nematodes, infective juveniles in the genus Heterorhabditis mature to hermaphroditic adults, while those in Steinernema mature as male or female individually.
Early Canon FD lenses are identifiable by their metal barrels and silver breech lock rings; later New FD or nFD lenses are all black without the breech lock rings and were built with more plastic, making them less solid but much lighter.

I happen to have worked with a rare-earth refining plant, Silmet, in Estonia. There is capacity there, and capacity coming in Mountain Pass, California, based on the Silmet plant.
And the process is not smelting.
I don't know why this doesn't get more press.
