We have a lot of trees here. I love that. Living wood is my favorite kind of wood. Nature is art. I’m just recording it. #MakersMartch #Wood #SilverFallsOR #PNW #Hiking #Nature #Photography #GoOutside #Breathe #Notice #LookCloser #Moss #Lichen #KeepGoing #Trees #SpeakForTheTrees
Picture of a summertime hike in Silver Falls State Park in Oregon. Three Douglas fir trees dominate the foreground with lots of bright, green, sunlit foliage and evergreens in the background. Tufts of dormant, green lichen and moss dot the trunks. A picturesque bluish white waterfall spills from the basalt cliff, appearing between the three fir trees in the front. I want to be there now. This August hike lasted a good 4 hours, but probably would have gone faster if I hadn’t stopped so often to take pictures. Can you blame me? It’s just all so gloriously green and gorgeous.
