No, I'm just pointing to this as an example of how there absolutely was a strong fascist thread in the US in those days (also look up the Bund Rally in New York, Father Coughlin, the silvershirts, etc.) and once again it was tied to the rich and powerful.

That's been one of the fascinating things following @sethcotlar.bsky.social's threads on how the fascist far right has been organizing in Oregon since, well, since they were the Silvershirts. A lot of these folks never went away, they just went quiet for a bit, but they never stopped pushing.

For 20th Century Euro-Fascism--Mussolini, Hitler--this was certainly true.
For 19th/20th Century US fascism--the KKK, Silvershirts, etc. not so much.
It was much more distinctly developed where the left was organizationally much stronger.
