I have just finished grilling my traditional Simnel cake. I had to hold my nerve, but it's the best one I've ever produced, I think. 😀 A very happy Easter to all who celebrate. 🐣

I think that when my Mum makes #SimnelCake there’s a layer of marzipan cooked inside the cake, but the layer on top - and the balls - only go on after it’s out of the oven and cooled.
