Just as #SirSherlock is announced we've lost John Leeson, Tom Baker's sidekick in both #DoctorWho (as robot dog K-9) and in that audio series. Thinking of his magnificent Toise in #Blakes7, I feel it's Fate that toys with our affections, taking him from the thousands of us who now miss him terribly.
Tom Baker as Dr Who with the canine mobile computer K-9 as voiced by John Leeson. Famously, John crawled about on the floor during rehearsals, building a relationship with his castmates that they conferred to the metal prop he voiced on camera. John's era of Doctor Who introduced me to the programme and it meant the world to me in a very difficult period. I'll be forever grateful for John Leeson's part in changing my life for the better.
