#SkillTesting
If you think about it, keeping track of your attribute points and status conditions while they're blanked out and invisible to you due to the Reconditioning status effect is really way more of an impressive skilltesting opportunity.

games generally live on a 3 axis graph like this
puzzling: "what do i do here"
skilltesting: "am i capable of doing this challenge"
story: showing you something to induce emotion

First RCQ of the season today! This time is bloomburrow limited!

Praying for the most skilltesting part of the event, opening a good sealed pool

Also I forgot that Neverwinter Nights came out in 2002 and featured a full toolset for players to create their own campaigns. Fun fact: for years, making a NWN module was considered good narrative design skilltesting and was sometimes required during the Bioware interview process.

If you need more proof about it being skilltesting, you owe it to yourself to check out @worklifevalue.bsky.social 's Devoid Cube cubecobra.com/cube/overvie... the very first cube I drafted at @cubecon.org in 2022! It's an amazing design of cubes and has a gorgeous mana base!
Cube Cobra Overview: Devoid Cube
## Overview The Devoid Cube is a 375 card eternal cube in which 99.7% of cards (all but 1) in the cube are colorless. In addition, the only basic land you can freely add to your deck is [[Wastes]]. [...

basically every PoE streamer and creator has made this point so I'm sure GGG is aware of it, but:

PoE 2 was marketed as this "hardcore" ARPG that was gonna have Dark Souls style skilltesting bosses with dodging and parrying

a very skilltesting relatively low puzzling game would be something like, eh, speedrun practice. there is no more routing just execute it properly. warioware is another example where yes you have to learn the minigames but they're mostly obvious

puzzling and skilltesting are invariably linked, the farthest thing is probably a puzzle book or playing chess. there is absolutely no time pressure whatsoever and you technically don't need to be able to do anything except input/output, it's a thinking game

Seeing someone yelling at Jay Bluesky and telling her what "the point" of Bluesky is.

If you can believe it, they did not accurately describe the thesis of Bluesky and I don't think they even know what it is.

I swear, you should have to answer a skilltesting question to make an account here.

imma go against the grain and be like balatro is good, but not like *amazing*

it feels less skilltesting than slay the spire (which is still the game to beat in this genre imo), less options and more random, but also simpler

but i have 80 hours on it so maybe dont take that too seriously

not really a big fan of how targeted stamper has been in the patch cycle. I would drastically prefer it unchanged since it's very much a weapon that forces interaction and is really skilltesting.
