Chris Spohn, executive director, said the career center has moved downtown and described several workforce tools (ITA, OJT, transitional jobs) but warned training dollars are underused because of staff capacity and program-development time; he asked to restore an administrative coordinator to accelerate provider on‑boarding and program implementation.

Christine Salzman, interim assistant commissioner for workforce education, told LTAC Workforce Pell applications remain open through Sept. 1 and that the agency is coordinating eligible-program methodology with state partners; the TRUE reskilling/upskilling grant RFA opened July 23 and closes Sept. 9.
