#SlantBoard
I had no idea a slantboard could be used to assemble jigsaws! Enjoy every minute.

There’s a guy at my gym who lugs around a wheeled suitcase to carry his slantboard and other gadgets. It’s so fucking ridiculous. He also wears a huge hoodie as if he’s a lord that shant be named…🫠

Couple of studio memories for today, first is a straight up artifact grouping done on a "slant board" using a softlite as slight backlight, with fill cards on front & sides. this uses the D3X and 85mm PC Micro Nikkor. 1 sec exposure at f11 1/2 ISO 100. a "rise" (shift) is being used to center image

Try cyclist squats to help strengthen your VMO and protect your knees.

Big copywork from this day back in 2020 in the studio. this poster was rolled up and wouldn't lay flat, it took me forever to get it laid out on a slantboard I had to make out of gatorboard and "clamp" the edges down. this shows a 24mm PC tllt-shift lens used to center the image using a "rise".

Slantboard been my best friend today

Goodness gracious this slant board is kicking my ass already! It's a 3 in 1 thing, to stretch ankle tendons, to raise the heel for squats with tight ankles, and it's a balance board. It also wobbles like fuck as a slantboard though, so I get a wicked balance workout either way.

I like my feet as flat as possible coz my ankles are right enough as it is, hence my buying this slantboard (though I got one that's also a wobbleboard) with a wide fit and big toebox, coz diabetes. All shops ever sell is these fucking thick soled things, I have a hell of a job finding zero drop

4. Deep Squat

This is my current favorite exercise and the KING for athletic longevity in my opinion.

Using something like the ATG slantboard to elevate the heels takes ankle mobility out of the equation and makes the squat more quad dominant.

handstand canes latching to variable angle slantboard
portable
bikepackable
doubles as table?
not so squeaky
carbon fiber rods between webbed gymnastics rings?
maybe even a gripper in the middle of the ring
walking handstand canes
quiet
up and down the stairs

This simple calf stretch is possibly one of the most effective ones I’ve done.

Use a slantboard or a weight plate to get the same effect. Hold for a minute each stretch.

If you need help improving your mobility and fitness, let me know. We can set up a call and get started.

What is your go to
