I mean, if you went all this time without ensuring your app works in different sizes of iPad split views and slideover, or more recently in a resizable iPad window, you have yourself partly to blame. Much of this is not new.

SlideOver und Splitview waren gut umgesetzte und einfache Multitasking Option die wohl mehr als Ausreichend waren. Jetzt hat Apple sie mit diesem bescheuerten Fenstermodus unbrauchbar gemacht.

I really miss Split View and Slideover on iPadOS. Abandoning a uniquely iPad multitasking experience and just putting windowing on it is giving up. Nothing about the windowed experience feels good at all, everything's janky and slow as hell.

It looks like the SlideOver gesture on iPadOS 26.4 now cancels touches properly, like it used to in previous OSes. It no longer interferes with apps like TikTok 🙌

IRC is mainly fine as long as you don't exit the app, or work around it by putting it in slideover the whole time
